This is me. Though some years have passed since this photo was taken, there are those who'd tell you I haven't changed much. This may or may not be true. The S. R. still stands for Sarah Rachel, I'm still Canadian, and I'm still a student. Then, I was in senior kindergarten; now, I'm studying for my PhD in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (aka HPS) at the University of Toronto. And, while the certificate that said I participated in Sports Day still has a place on my wall, so do my degrees in HPS and in Drama and Math.
Also, while the stories I used to scribble in memo-books about "angel-boys" and their leader, "Jack Female Bear", were clearly seminal works of a young genius, I think I've since outgrown my "scribbling random daydreams" phase, with much thanks to my awesome critique group, the Fantasyweavers. I've been an associate member of the SCBWI for six years now, and I attended Humber College's Writing for Young Readers Workshop in the summer of 2006. Most recently, I had a blast at the Highlight's Foundation Whole Novel Workshop in June 2009.
Admittedly, in the good old days of being four, theatre wasn't so much a "passion" as "something I knew nothing about". However, since then, I've performed for two summers with Salamander Theatre's Shakespeare Young Company, and I've been involved with other productions as actress, director, and tech. I also manage Pieces of Nine Treasure Hunt Planning - take a peek at the pictures from the last hunts I set up.
So thanks for visiting my site, and thanks even more for hanging around. If there's anything else you want to know, feel free to drop me a line. But I'm warning you: though I've grown a little, I'm still a consummate weirdo.
